Job Overview

First Impulse, a leader in low voltage systems, is seeking skilled Installation Supervisors to oversee the installation of various systems including Access Control, IP Cameras, Structured Cabling, Phone Systems, Audio/Video, and Nurse Call. We operate across multiple counties and are looking for individuals with a strong background in telecommunications installations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a telecommunications supervisor.
  • Proven experience with one or more of the specified system types.
  • Must possess a personal vehicle with sufficient space for a 6ft ladder (preferably a truck).
  • Own basic telecom tools such as punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and a 6ft fiberglass ladder (a detailed tool list will be provided).
  • Ability to travel independently to various job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Access Control, IP Cameras, Nurse Call, and Structured Cabling in commercial or healthcare settings (advanced residential experience may be considered).
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSHA10/30).
  • Capability to read and interpret system plans.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project managers.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing support structures and pathways such as ladder racks and ceiling supports.
  • Pulling various types of copper and fiber cables for structured cabling systems and security systems.
  • Terminating data jacks, coax connectors, and RJ-45 plugs.
  • Managing the dressing, routing, and termination of IDF/MDF locations.
  • Conducting rack and stack work, including server racks and patch panels.
  • Testing and certifying copper and fiber cables using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Installing field devices for all mentioned systems.
  • Experience with conduit bending is a plus.
  • Understanding color codes for fiber and copper cabling.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Note: Drug testing, clean DMV records, negative TB tests, and flu shots may be required based on job site specifications.
