Senior Mechanical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our LaPorte Reliability Group. This role will support plant operation and reliability improvement efforts for fixed equipment, ensuring all engineering and inspection activities meet or exceed regulatory and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and expertise on fixed equipment in the design and installation stages of projects to minimize life cycle cost and maximize asset availability.
- Participate in the development of design and installation specifications and commissioning plans, including acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technology and assess its applicability to improve reliability and performance or reduce maintenance cost.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Manage risk to the achievement of organizational strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production.
- Apply value analysis to repair plans for piping, pressure vessels, and tanks to optimize maintenance and repair activities.
- Provide technical support to production, maintenance, project, and process engineering groups to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience working with fixed equipment in the refining, petrochemical, chemical process, or power generation industries.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, with basic proficiency in developing subject matter expertise in particular areas.
- Project Management experience.
- Reliability Engineering concepts and reliability data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Meridium and other relevant software.
