MRI Technologist

About the Role:
- Assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Review and complete necessary paperwork for each patient, including exam forms, scheduling information, physician orders, and department logs.
- Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER, promoting comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Monitor equipment for mechanical safety, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Position patients on examining tables, adjusting immobilization devices to achieve optimal views of requested body areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues as a team player, meeting the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Technologists, with current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH)/TMB license required.
- Current registration with ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is mandatory, along with advanced certification in MRI within 6 months of employment.
- One year of experience in MRI is preferred, but not essential.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.
