Key Responsibilities

  • Pilot Lab Management: Oversee the pilot lab's operations, ensuring effective management of formulation processes and maintaining high standards of product performance.
  • R&D Support: Act as the primary liaison for pilot lab activities, including budgeting for operations and capital expenses. Lead the formulation of pilot-scale products and ensure a seamless transition to full-scale production.
  • Product Development: Serve as a technical authority in the formulation of various agricultural products, including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and plant nutrition solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize projects and streamline workflows.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate new manufacturing procedures and ingredients, documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support product registration and compliance with environmental health and safety standards.
  • Materials Validation: Work closely with procurement to identify and validate materials, ensuring adherence to all laboratory regulations and safety protocols.
  • Packaging Approval: Evaluate and approve packaging solutions for new products, coordinating with internal and external resources to ensure efficient qualification processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with a preference for professional chemistry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and innovative thinking.
  • Expertise in various chemistry fields, including analytical, physical, and biochemistry.

  • Extensive knowledge of pilot-scale processes and full-scale production.
  • Diverse experience in agricultural formulations.
  • Advanced understanding of surface tension chemistry and complex formulation challenges.
