**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Inclusive Education Specialist to join our team at Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing students with disabilities with effective instruction and learning opportunities.

**Job Overview:**

This is a full-time position responsible for supporting the learning of students with disabilities in alignment with state standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with regular education classroom teachers, interprets the abilities and disabilities of these students, and helps differentiate instruction.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES:
  • Provide instruction in the resource room or inclusionary classroom.
  • Use various instructional techniques and strategies to deliver one-on-one or small group instruction based on individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with regular education teachers to establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
  • Develop and implement de-escalation techniques to reduce disruptive behavior.

**Requirements:**

  • Masters Degree in Special Education or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid Ohio certification/licensure in special education.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education of Students with Disabilities (or equivalent experience).

**Working Conditions:**

The successful candidate must be able to perform occasional tasks that require physical stamina, such as lifting, when working with students. They must also be able to handle frequent evening and/or weekend work.

**Salary and Benefits:**

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off, is also offered.

**Evaluation:** Performance of this job will be evaluated based on provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel and collective bargaining agreement.
