We are seeking a dedicated Adult Education and Community Learning Specialist to join our team at Columbus City Schools. This is a part-time position, with estimated hourly compensation around $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational services to Aspire High School Equivalency (HSE) students and/or Aspire English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive instructional programs that cater to the needs of Aspire students;
- Instructing students in technology skills that support program goals and objectives;
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress;
- Collaborating with department staff, business partners, and community agencies to enhance program effectiveness;
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in adult education.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Education or a related field;
- Experience teaching adults in ABE, ASE, or Aspire programs;
- Ability to teach basic computer skills and Microsoft Office Specialist content;
- Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and summers as needed.
