Graceland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Specialist:
- Deliver personal care services, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene, to residents as required.
- Provide bedside assistance and administer medications while documenting their effects.
- Ensure resident comfort and well-being.
- Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas as needed.
- Collect samples and monitor catheter usage.
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight) as directed.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff members, as requested.
- Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications for the Practical Nursing Specialist:
- Must possess a current state license as a Practical/Vocational Nurse.
- CPR certification must be current and active.
- Strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds or more, as physical tasks constitute over 70% of the role.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, exceeding four hours daily.
- Capacity to bend and/or stoop for more than one hour at a time.
