Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation and project consulting firm. We are seeking a Professional Practices Audit Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain audit methodologies, processes, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Practices Manager to determine updates and implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, third-party vendors, regulators, and other departments within the organization.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and corporate standards.
  • Provide knowledge resources for systems, processes, and procedures for the Internal Audit group.
  • Work with the database administrator on Business Intelligence Dashboard reporting.
  • Maintain AAS SharePoint sites.
  • Build and maintain productive staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • 2+ years of related auditing experience.
  • Deep understanding of internal audit practices and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution, auditor's judgment, risk-based auditing, and sound decision making.
