Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement food safety and quality assurance programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve food safety and quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on food safety and quality procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of food safety and quality procedures and records.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to food safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • 2-3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in a poultry processing environment.
  • HACCP certification and knowledge of USDA regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced production environment with frequent exposure to wet and moist floors.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
  • May be exposed to temperatures, humidity, and noise levels typical of a poultry processing facility.
