  • Direct the activities of the assigned crew to ensure adherence to the daily schedule.
  • Comprehend the production timeline and modify daily tasks to align with it.
  • Conduct daily assessments of crew costs and production rates, reporting findings to the Superintendent as needed.
  • Coordinate on-site resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Request necessary materials to fulfill the scope of work.
  • Interpret and analyze plans and specifications as required, ensuring work meets established standards.
  • Uphold a high standard of safety and compliance with all safety regulations for craft personnel and subcontractors.
  • Present safety topics during meetings as required.
  • Possess knowledge of local union regulations or prevailing wage standards.
  • Ensure that all workers assigned to tasks are fully qualified for their responsibilities.
  • Manage subcontractors on-site effectively.
  • Support and adhere to corporate policies.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required experience in highway and TxDOT projects.
  • Proven experience in equipment management.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors is essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to apply practical understanding to resolve issues involving multiple concrete variables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends and night shifts as required by business needs.
