Aerial Foreman

ADB Companies Inc is seeking a skilled Aerial Foreman to join our wireline aerial team. As an Aerial Foreman, you will be responsible for installing fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects.

• Proficiently perform aerial installation tasks, such as hand digging, traffic control setup, equipment operations, fiber placement, pole climbing, and material handling on various utility construction sites.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in reading prints and maps.
• Have at least 3 years of experience in independent aerial cable placement and installation, with a solid understanding of safety regulations and basic operating skills.
• Have at least 1 year of experience operating various equipment, such as directional drills, mini excavators, plows, and hydro equipment.
• Climb utility poles or utilize lifts to install cables according to print designs and maps.
• Test cable placement using aerial equipment and interpret the results.
• Assist in the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control, in diverse conditions.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to required safety practices throughout all duties.
• Maintain professionalism in communication with customers, subcontractors, and homeowners, addressing any issues or complaints that may arise.
• Train other aerial crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, and OSHA requirements.
• Load and unload materials and equipment at construction yards and jobsites.
• Lead by example, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and guide others on jobsites.
• Engage in on-the-job training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to enhance skills in utility construction and aerial work.
• Foster a hazard-identifying culture by utilizing the pre-task process.
• Fulfill other position duties as required.

• 3+ years of experience as a foreman or crew leader in the telecommunications industry, specializing in lineman work.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, such as hydro, directional drills, mini excavators, and plows.
• Formalized training and certification as a lineman from an accredited technical school.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL License (or the ability to obtain one).
• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
