Role Summary:
The Project Manager I plays a pivotal role in managing and directing the activities and personnel involved in projects of varying scales, with a concentration on non-IT business applications. This position encompasses the management of all elements of single or multiple complex projects throughout their entire lifecycle. The Project Manager I will engage with project sponsors, business units, and stakeholders to outline project objectives, formulate project initiatives, execute project plans, allocate and oversee project personnel, and guarantee project success. They will provide high-quality solutions to business challenges within established budgets and timelines, offering expert guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities and personnel related to small to large-scale projects, emphasizing non-IT business applications.
- Manage all aspects of single or multiple complex projects through their complete lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and stakeholders to define project objectives and develop initiatives.
- Assign, mentor, and supervise project staff to ensure effective execution of project tasks.
- Deliver high-quality solutions to business challenges within set budgets and timelines.
- Provide expert guidance and proactive support throughout project completion.
- Prepare tracking, reporting, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate experience with medical devices and a solid understanding of clinical practices, design controls, and regulatory environments.
- Lead cross-functional teams in scientific, laboratory, or clinical settings, utilizing strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Preferred knowledge of diagnostic assays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- PMP certification is mandatory.
- 1-6 years of experience in project management.
- Experience with medical devices and collaboration with cross-functional teams in scientific, laboratory, or clinical settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with team members.
- Understanding of diagnostic assays is preferred.
