Job Summary:

The Medical Coder is a Certified Professional Coder responsible for managing all aspects of coding. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations and coding guidelines.

The Medical Coder is a professional who possesses a high level of knowledge, skill, and experience in increasingly complex areas of revenue cycle.



Responsibilities:

⁠ ⁠Manage all aspects of coding, including ICD-10 coding, Mental Health/Substance abuse billing codes, and Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding.
⁠ ⁠Develop and maintain a strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations and coding guidelines.
⁠ ⁠Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely coding.

Requirements:

⁠ ⁠High School Diploma or GED required.
⁠ ⁠1 year of experience in ICD-10 coding, Mental Health/Substance abuse billing codes, and Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding preferred.
⁠ ⁠Experience with NextGen Electronic Health Record preferred.
⁠ ⁠Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist Professional (CCS-P) with at least 1 year of experience.
