Job Summary

Ascension Via Christi is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical surgical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to creating a positive patient experience. This is a full-time opportunity with a rotating night shift schedule, including every 3rd weekend. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

+ Implement and monitor patient care plans, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

+ Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, managing patient flow and optimizing outcomes.

+ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

+ Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, collaborating with social workers and other support staff to ensure seamless transitions.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. A bachelor's degree in nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas are also required.

Compensation and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, education, and qualifications.
