Avera St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform admissions assessments to identify the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.
- Develop written plans using assessment databases.
- Plan and prioritize the delivery of nursing care.
- Implement treatments and procedures, and administer medications in compliance with Nursing/Pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report them to physicians as necessary.
- Assess, plan, and initiate patient education and discharge planning.
- Act as a mentor/coach to other nursing personnel and direct self towards professional growth and development.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.
- Participate in educational opportunities and maintain current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.
- ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in ICU.
- PALS is recommended but not required for employment in ICU.
- Attend all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
- TNCC required by one year of employment in ICU.
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.
Full-time night position working 7:00pm-7:00am. Every other weekend/holiday rotation required.
PayThe hourly range for this position is $46.50 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
