Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) collaborates with the vaccine coordinator on various clinical trials and is tasked with comprehending and executing study protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend and implement study protocols under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (MD).
  • Strictly adhere to the research protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with good clinical practices.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication regarding study progress, inquiries, and issues with the Investigator and sub-investigator.
  • Conduct informed consent and other study-related procedures as appropriate, ensuring no conflict with unblinded responsibilities.
  • Understand the preparation and storage requirements for the study drug to be administered.
  • Ensure the study drug is dispensed, prepared, administered, and returned according to assigned protocols as an unblinded injector.
  • Document and monitor drug accountability for vaccines as per study requirements and maintain necessary logs.
  • Complete study source documents as mandated by the study.
  • Receive and log in drugs upon arrival, creating tracking logs for accountability as necessary.
  • Collaborate with study sponsors and unblinded monitors as directed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Robust clinical background with demonstrated independent clinical assessment skills preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Active NYS license as an LPN or RN.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical role is required.
Physical Demands:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and mask usage are mandatory.
Compensation: $24-26/hour
