BWXT's Materials Science and Engineering team is seeking an Intern to support the development of new materials and processes for various applications. This role will involve working with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test new materials, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a laboratory environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and equipment. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new materials and processes that can impact various industries, from energy to aerospace.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Design, develop, and test new materials and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to understand material behavior and properties.

**Requirements:**

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in Materials Engineering/Science or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Requires hands-on experience and ability to work in a laboratory environment.

Salary: The starting hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $20 and $30 per hour, based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations.
