Support Services Assistant for Graduate Students

As a Support Services Assistant for Graduate Students, you will play a vital role in enhancing the graduate student experience at Liberty University. You will be responsible for providing support services to the Director of Graduate Life and the Associate Director of Graduate Life, including email inbox management, event planning, and execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of issues related to the graduate off-campus living experience and be able to present and teach to small and large audiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement Graduate Life programming, including research, event planning, and administrative projects.
* Assist in creating a Graduate Life leadership program through tabling/recruitment across campus.
* Produce monthly newsletters for residential graduate students, highlighting important events and resources.
* Take meeting minutes and communicate action items promptly after assigned meetings.
* Organize and maintain departmental promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and posters.
* Ensure the timely and efficient maintenance of departmental email inbox.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Acceptance/enrollment in an LU graduate program.
* Strong understanding of issues related to the graduate off-campus living experience.
* Excellent presentation and teaching skills, with the ability to engage with small and large audiences.
* Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends, as needed.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Estimated Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $12-$15 per hour, based on the location and industry standards.
