Job Overview

This position is part of our Day Treatment program, which provides individualized support to children and their families. As a Day Treatment Support Staff, you will work closely with our Mental Health Practitioner and Mental Health Professional to implement daily treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Promote skill development in children through daily program schedules and activities.
  • Assist children in using self-management skills, including communication, self-regulation, and self-help skills.
  • Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, children, and their families.
  • Complete pre-service training prior to starting work in the program.
  • Assist with daily setup and cleanup of materials and activities.
  • Set up materials and toys for individual skill work and groups.
  • Assist with daily self-help skills, such as diapering, toileting, and washing hands.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of child development and childhood disorders.
  • Native Somali, Amharic, or Oromo speaker required.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree with 4,000-hour experience or Bachelor's degree in Human Services.
  • Experience working with early childhood and children with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
