Job Description

At Turning Point Inc., we are seeking a skilled Treatment Center Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our treatment programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to clients as they navigate their treatment journey.
  • Ensure client schedules are adhered to and provide support to the Program Coordinator with appointment facilitation and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including shift notes and incident reports, while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Manage behavior emergencies using protective procedures and de-escalation techniques, and complete incident reports as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, checking emails, and maintaining supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with treatment team members, including counselors and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in addiction counseling or related fields is a plus.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and mental health concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide non-judgmental support to clients.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other software programs.
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
  • Crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid MN State driver's license.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Trained on CPR and Narcan.
  • Knowledge in culturally specific treatment services.
