Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Early Childhood Education to join our faculty at the University of the District of Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in early childhood education, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in early childhood education, including lecture, discussion, and lab sections.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the University's mission and goals.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and grades.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide meetings and events.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching early childhood education courses.
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the University's mission and goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and research.
