Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Washington City. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for preschool students aged 3-5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Supervise and mentor preschool assistants and parent volunteers to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children in a educational setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities related to childcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a typical preschool setting with appropriate climate controls. The position requires a variety of physical activities, lifting, reaching, and carrying up to 40 pounds. Communicating, seeing, hearing, and talking is essential to job effectiveness.
