Job Title: Qualified Mental Health Specialist

Anthony s Villa is seeking a qualified mental health specialist to join our team. As a mental health specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized mental health programs for assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior modification programs to promote optimum mental health
  • Attend and participate in treatment/behavior management team meetings with staff
  • Counsel clients with an emphasis on prevention and behavior modification
  • Communicate effectively with clients verbally and in written correspondence
  • Understand and work with community support systems
  • Supervise and participate in providing needed services
  • Serve as primary Counselor and support person
  • Develop excellent interpersonal skills and handle emotionally charged situations
  • Train others to apply effective behavior management techniques
  • Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
  • Maintain confidentiality of client records
  • Monitor and record client progress according to measurable goals
  • Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years of related experience in designing individualized treatment programming, monitoring and observing behavior, and developing behavior management plans

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a closely related field
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in designing individualized treatment programming, monitoring and observing behavior, and developing behavior management plans

OR

  • A Master's degree in psychology, school psychology, counseling, or a closely related field
  • Ability to understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities
  • Personal and professional experience with mindfulness or meditation work preferred
