Senior Law Library Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Law Library Manager to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in law library management, supervision, and legal research to contribute to the success of our organization.
About the RoleAs a Senior Law Library Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the law library, supervising a team of legal support staff, and overseeing the maintenance of physical and digital collections. You will also provide expert guidance on legal research techniques, resources, and tools to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a law librarian, with a proven track record of managing law libraries, supervising staff, and delivering high-quality service to clients. You will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge of standard MS Office Suite, and experience with legal research search engines.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the law library's physical and digital collections, including legal texts, journals, databases, and other resources.
- Supervise a team of legal support staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities effectively.
- Provide expert reference services to legal professionals, guiding them in navigating legal resources and ensuring they find pertinent and reliable materials.
- Oversee subscriptions and licenses for digital legal databases, ensuring access is maintained for all team members.
- Maintain the law library's budget, track expenses, and handle purchasing of new resources or subscriptions.
- At least 5 years of experience as a law librarian, preferably in a similar role.
- Prior experience working in a law firm or academic setting, with knowledge of law library management and supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and legal research search engines.
This is a full-time position, with an estimated salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
