Job Title: Front Desk Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at the Recreation Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling incoming calls, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors and handles all incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for enrolling new members and renewing current members by collecting dues and entering information into the computer system.
  • Maintains daily receipts and balances revenue at the end of each shift.
  • Performs data entry and uses custom recreation software to manage membership and other related tasks.
  • Handles customer questions and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized course work in general office practices a plus.
  • At least six months of clerical and cash handling experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

The work environment is moderately noisy, and the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, use hands to fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
