Job Summary
The Department of Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University is seeking a highly qualified Academic Professional to join our team as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice in Sports Media Production.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach multi-camera production in both field and studio settings, with a focus on supporting the growing sports media minor.
- Develop and teach new courses in sports media and production, based on expertise.
- Oversee the department's National Sports Media Association chapter.
- Assist with department and university production projects.
- Manage activities in the production studios.
- Participate in departmental and university service, and remain active in the field, reflecting such activity in teaching and student engagement.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of all phases of television and video production.
- The ability to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
