We are currently seeking a Junior Kitchen Supervisor to enhance our culinary team.

Position Overview:

The Junior Kitchen Supervisor will take on the responsibilities and duties typically assigned to a Sous Chef. This role acts as a vital link between the front of the house and the kitchen staff, overseeing product ordering, butchering of proteins, administering discipline when necessary, training and developing team members, and creating daily specials as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the seamless operation of food production.
  • Manage effective stock purchasing, receipt, and storage.
  • Assist kitchen staff as needed and familiarize with ordering systems.
  • Supervise kitchen staff performance to ensure proper operations.
  • Maintain adherence to required standards in food production and preparation, focusing on quality, quantity, and safety.
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations by promoting a high level of service.
  • Address all customer complaints, inquiries, and suggestions appropriately.
  • Ensure proper presentation and garnishing of dishes.
  • Manage food logs effectively.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  • Assist in preparing kitchen cleaning schedules and supervise cleaning activities.
  • Create and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, listening, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to confirm understanding after directions are given (follow-up).
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Capability to multitask effectively.
  • Experience in kitchen management and team building.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems, Internet/Intranet, and Google Workspace.
