We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Nurse Residency Program at Howard University Hospital. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend all assigned learning activities and clinical experiences, arriving on time and prepared.
- Rotate shifts according to program and/or preceptor's schedule.
- Be responsible for all costs associated with required books, materials, equipment, and transportation.
- Work closely with preceptor, educators, and program coordinator to integrate and maximize learning.
- Participate in regular evaluation sessions to obtain/provide feedback on individual performance and Nurse Residency Program, complete competency documentation.
- Complete a Research Project prior to program completion.
- Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN nursing program.
- Active DC Registered Nurse License prior to the first day of orientation.
- 2.8 GPA or higher (transcripts will be requested and 2.8 GPA must be maintained through graduation).
- No prior experience as RN or less than 1 year of experience.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
