Adjunct Professor of Mortuary Science

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Mortuary Science to join our faculty at the University of the District of Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mortuary science courses, including embalming and mortuary management, and will be expected to maintain a high level of academic excellence and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Teach mortuary science courses, including embalming and mortuary management, to students at the University of the District of Columbia.
- Develop and implement curriculum for mortuary science courses, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students.
- Maintain a high level of academic excellence and professionalism in the classroom and in all interactions with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide activities, including committee work and professional development opportunities.
- Master's degree in Mortuary Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in mortuary science education or a related field.
- Valid funeral director's license or its legal equivalent.
- Ability to teach a variety of mortuary science courses, including embalming and mortuary management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ph.D. in Mortuary Science or a related field.
- Experience teaching mortuary science courses at the university level.
- Membership in professional organizations related to mortuary science education.
