- Prepare and evaluate monthly financial reports, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance analyses.
- Assist during the annual audit by gathering necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Oversee inventory costing methodologies, ensuring precision and devising strategies for enhancement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to establish and enforce effective financial controls.
- Manage sales and use tax reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Employ advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
- Lead initiatives to refine and enhance accounting processes, utilizing technology to boost efficiency.
- Work with software vendors to sustain and improve accounting systems, suggesting updates as necessary.
- Assist the Controller with special projects, financial evaluations, and other tasks as needed.
- Supervise credit management activities, coordinating with the accounting specialist and contract specialist to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing context, with a strong focus on cost accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced skills in pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal capabilities.
- A proactive, independent work style, with a commitment to continuous learning and process enhancement.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a positive demeanor.
The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000.
