  • Assist during the annual audit by gathering necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  • Oversee inventory costing methodologies, ensuring precision and devising strategies for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish and enforce effective financial controls.
  • Manage sales and use tax reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Employ advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Lead initiatives to refine and enhance accounting processes, utilizing technology to boost efficiency.
  • Work with software vendors to sustain and improve accounting systems, suggesting updates as necessary.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects, financial evaluations, and other tasks as needed.
  • Supervise credit management activities, coordinating with the accounting specialist and contract specialist to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing context, with a strong focus on cost accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced skills in pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Familiarity with accounting software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal capabilities.
  • A proactive, independent work style, with a commitment to continuous learning and process enhancement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a positive demeanor.
Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000.
