Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Homelessness Policy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Policy and Program Support Unit, you will be responsible for managing, training, and supervising staff in homelessness and housing policy activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training strategies for staff in homelessness and housing policy activities.
  • Provide policy and legislative analyses, advice, and recommendations on housing and community development policies.
  • Supervise the work of others on a team or as a project lead, including developing and implementing project plans and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of reports, analyses, presentations, and other written products for public distribution.
Requirements
  • Experience in homelessness and housing policy, including policy analysis, development, and implementation.
  • Strong supervisory and project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present reports, analyses, and presentations to various audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
