Claims Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Casualty Claims Representative to join our team at Western National Insurance Group / Umialik Insurance Company.
Job Summary:The Casualty Claims Representative will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving multi-line insurance claims. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and review policy forms, facts, and documents related to claims to make appropriate decisions on claims resolutions.
- Establish and review proper reserves for each claim based on thorough investigation, evaluation, and experience.
- Provide direction to outside resources and perform duties and activities covered by specific instructions, standard practices, and established procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with customers and employees across the organization and outside vendors.
- Travel for field work as required and perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of industry practices, standards, and claim concepts.
- Prior claims experience.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical with ability to exercise sound business judgment.
- Good time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
