Position Summary:

The Employee Relations Manager plays a crucial role in managing and executing employee relations initiatives. This position involves providing expert consultation, facilitating resolutions, and addressing workplace concerns raised by both employees and management. The role also includes overseeing background check processes and workplace accommodations, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to fostering employee engagement and resolving workplace challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise background check and workplace accommodation programs, adapting strategies as business needs change.
  • Offer employee relations support to corporate leaders, including guidance on performance management, policy interpretation, and organizational changes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on workforce reductions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
  • Identify and evaluate employee relations issues, recommending actions to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace concerns, interpreting policies and employment laws.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Legal teams to develop proactive employee relations strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the employee relations case management system.
  • Lead the Employee Relations Specialists team, overseeing daily operations and fostering a positive team culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in interpreting and applying employment policies in a complex organizational setting.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective assessment and escalation of employee relations issues.
  • Ability to derive insights from employee relations data and analytics.
  • Proven relationship-building skills with stakeholders to drive employee relations initiatives.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work streams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and conduct thorough HR investigations.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected total compensation for this role is competitive, including a base salary and annual bonus opportunities. Individual compensation will be determined based on various factors.
