CUCS is a national leader in developing effective housing and service initiatives for homeless individuals. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at 90 Sands, a 30-story building in Brooklyn that provides affordable and permanent supportive housing for low-income individuals.

About the Role

The Mental Health Clinician will provide person-centered, strengths-based clinical services to a caseload of approximately 25-30 individuals with mental illness and/or substance use. Services include case management, entitlements assistance, counseling, advocacy, referrals, crisis intervention, engagement, monitoring, outreach, psycho-education, and coordination of care with outside service providers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance use
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to achieve program success
  • Participate in program planning, development, and implementation of group services
  • Assist in the development and implementation of evidence-based practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or a related field
  • Relevant pre or post-master's experience preferred
  • LMSW or LMHC preferred
