Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess educational needs and develop/coordinate necessary education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
  • Coordinate orientation programs for new clinical staff to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Act as the Infection Control expert on the shift, providing guidance and support to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
  • Provide educational leadership to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocol.
  • Collaborate with medical practitioners and Director of Nursing to incorporate nursing processes into the plan of care for patients.
  • Implement and deliver educational curricula as required by regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, CARF, CMS and State agencies.
  • Initiate clinical skills development programs for direct care staff to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate direct patient care staff in the use of equipment, supplies, and coordinates in-service training for appropriate staff.
  • Provide specialized nursing protocols for direct care staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Education required. Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • Three or more years' clinical experience combined with/or related to teaching experience required.
  • One or more years' behavioral health experience required.
