Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at Granville Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of patient testing in multiple laboratory disciplines and specialty laboratories, in support of clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow. Monitor daily operation of the laboratory section or work area. Participate in teams or perform special projects/assignments. Perform non-routine, complex test procedures, including special chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic laboratory tests. Observe test reactions and provide data. Perform quality control and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratories. Report results to healthcare providers. Consult with healthcare providers regarding test results. Review test results to ensure accuracy and timely correction of errors. May assist section supervisors in developing new test methods, writing procedures, and staff education.

Contribute to the laboratory performance improvement program to improve skills, lab productivity, communication, and teamwork within the hospital.


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field. MLS/MT (ASCP) or MT (NCA) or MT (AMT) certification. For Medical Laboratory Technicians, an Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician with ASCP or AMT Board of Certified certification is required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
