Position Overview

The Catering Service Professional will deliver exceptional hospitality to guests in a dynamic and high-energy setting.

Part-Time Roles: Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Hourly compensation ranges from $14 to $16, plus tips.

Employees in part-time, seasonal, and internship roles accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours annually.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and comprehend Banquet Event Orders effectively.
  • Carry a minimum of 8 entrees per tray with ease.
  • Establish and maintain friendly, professional interactions with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and fulfilled.
  • Set up and maintain food and beverage stations across various locations, adhering to AEG's service standards.
  • Oversee inventory for food and beverage stations.
  • Keep all event areas and front-of-house staging areas organized and tidy.
  • Assist in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
  • Work independently during less busy periods.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Engage in high levels of social interaction, collaborating closely with staff and patrons.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Exhibit attention to detail to guarantee accuracy and completeness in work.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Handle and move objects as required.
  • Maintain a customer-focused, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Have a basic understanding of arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Be capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Exhibit the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 30 lbs. and frequently 15 lbs.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Respond to simple inquiries or complaints from customers and members of the business community.
Qualifications
  • Must be available to work all scheduled events.
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in events, banquets, or restaurant settings is preferred.
  • Must be at least eighteen years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
