Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at CHI Mercy Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and efficient registration and scheduling processes, and maintaining a positive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Registers patients, collects demographic and insurance information, and verifies patient identities
  • Schedules appointments, manages waitlists, and coordinates with healthcare providers
  • Answers phone calls, responds to patient inquiries, and resolves issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processes payments, issues receipts, and maintains accurate financial records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
