Role Summary

MDD is seeking a Staff Accountant to play a crucial role within our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation in accounting and finance, complemented by excellent communication and analytical abilities, along with the capacity to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine financial reports and schedules for accuracy
  • Engage in strategic discussions with the accounting team
  • Input and analyze financial data and invoices
  • Support clients in conducting interviews during financial investigations to ensure comprehensive identification of involved parties
  • Conduct forensic research to trace funds and identify recoverable assets
  • Verify claims against source documentation
  • Assess insurance claims and economic damages
  • Collaborate with senior personnel on litigation matters, property claims, and business valuations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports based on investigative findings
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations
  • Perform research and other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Currently pursuing CPA certification
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and a positive outlook
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
