Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Brazilian Portuguese Interpreter to become a vital part of our team. This position demands a committed professional capable of delivering precise and fluent interpretation between Brazilian Portuguese and English, thereby facilitating effective communication among diverse community members and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate in-person interpreting sessions between Brazilian Portuguese-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals.
- Provide accurate and context-sensitive interpretation while maintaining the original message's integrity.
- Comply with ethical standards to ensure confidentiality and neutrality throughout the interpretation process.
- Assist with the translation of written materials from Brazilian Portuguese to English and vice versa as required.
- Engage in continuous learning to improve language skills and knowledge of specialized terminology across various fields.
- Handle scheduling and client interactions with professionalism and reliability.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
