Role Summary: In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and enhance the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities, ensuring efficient patient care delivery.
- Conduct quality and safety rounds, providing immediate feedback to enhance clinical practices.
- Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient needs and available resources.
- Mentor new graduate RNs and facilitate ongoing education for all nursing staff.
- Participate in incident reporting and follow-up to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Previous RN experience in surgical services is highly desirable.
Work Environment: This role may involve exposure to various health risks, including infections and hazardous materials. Adherence to standard precautions is mandatory.
