Job Summary

The Athletic Trainer will work under the supervision of the Director of Strength & Student Wellness to ensure student-athletes receive high-quality healthcare services, including injury prevention, prompt treatment, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans for providing athletic training services for designated high-impact games and practices.
  • Coordinate with coaches and staff to ensure effective communication and care for injured student-athletes.
  • Provide first aid and emergency care for student-athletes participating in Crespi athletic activities.
  • Communicate with parents, coaches, and staff regarding health care services, including prevention, injuries, and recovery procedures.
  • Organize and implement annual pre-participation sports physicals and baseline testing.
  • Assist in maintaining medical records and tracking injuries.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for athletic injury and ailment management, blood-borne pathogens, skin infections, mental and emotional care management, and environmental safety.
  • Lead the Sports Medicine Club and establish relationships with healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Athletic Training.
  • NATA/BOC certification and Emergency Cardiac Care Certification.
  • Minimum three years of high school experience as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Experience working with high school athletes and knowledge of CIF Southern Section rules and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and maintain emotional control.
