Columbia Veterinary Emergency Trauma and Speciality is seeking a skilled Veterinary Medical Assistant to support the hospital in achieving its mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch patient care by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and performing emergency first aid as needed.
  • Collect and process specimens, conduct laboratory procedures, and administer medication under veterinary direction.
  • Assist with radiology and imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures, manage intake and discharge processes, and maintain open communication with oncoming shifts and veterinarians.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary setting or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong patient care skills, with a focus on empathy, compassion, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Benefits and Compensation
