Division Chief, Digestive Diseases and Nutrition

Job Summary:

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Division Chief of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition. The successful candidate will have a record of achievement in academic medicine, with exceptional accomplishments as a clinician and academician. The Division Chief will be responsible for guiding a busy clinical practice and supporting growing academic careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional leadership and vision for the Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Division's clinical, educational, and research missions
  • Collaborate with other leaders across UK HealthCare and the College of Medicine to achieve shared goals
  • Recruit and retain top talent in gastroenterology and nutrition
  • Develop and manage budgets to support the Division's operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
  • National recognition as a leader in gastroenterology and nutrition
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in academic medicine
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kentucky
  • Meet University criteria for appointment of Associate or Full Professor
