Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling and Inspection Specialist to join our team at NOV, Inc. as an Inspector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections of drill pipes and other equipment, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of drill pipes and other equipment to identify any defects or imperfections.
  • Operate inspection equipment under direct supervision, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company and industry standards for safety and efficiency.
  • Comply with all company and industry procedures, including those related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of the inspection team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with prior experience in inspection and drill pipe handling.
  • Knowledge of drill pipe inspection and pipe handling is essential, with a strong understanding of industry standards and protocols.
  • Prior inspection experience is required, with a proven track record of identifying defects and imperfections.
  • Certification in BIT and MAG II is required, with successful completion of Level II PT and/or UT Certification and/or EMI Certification classes.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently, making decisions and taking initiative as needed.
  • Basic math skills and ability to work Monday-Sunday, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Inspector with Level 2 certifications in MFLT, MT, PT, EMI, UT Thickness, BHA, and Drill Pipe, with UT Shear Wave certification a plus.
