POSITION OVERVIEW
This job listing pertains to the role of an Assembler II within the conversion team at Jabil Circuit, Inc.

As an Assembly Technician, you will engage in back-end and box-build assembly tasks to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality products. Your work will be conducted efficiently in accordance with established workmanship standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to detailed verbal or written instructions, utilizing visual aids as necessary.
  • Confirm the accuracy of incoming materials and manage inventory using the FIFO (first in, first out) system.
  • Perform manual assembly of systems or box-builds using designated tools, torque drivers, and hardware, maintaining a specified production rate.
  • Retrieve and scan necessary components or sub-assemblies from flow racks, bins, or Kanban locations.
  • Maintain certification and/or proficiency in Assembler I, Router, Press Fit, and RTV operations.
  • Uphold certification and/or proficiency in DF Pre-Kitting Assembly/Test, Hi-Pot Test, Bundle Kitting, and Pack-Out operations.
  • Conduct physical inventory checks of parts or assemblies in assigned areas.
  • Execute the Purge process as required.
  • Ensure all production equipment is functional through preventative maintenance practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles at all times.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations related to this position as directed by your supervisor.
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate the quantity of parts required for preparation and use at any given time.
  • Competence in effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Capability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including familiarity with Windows-based systems and relevant software.
  • Advanced skills in PC operations, including knowledge of Jabil's software applications.
  • Ability to compose simple correspondence and comprehend visual aids.
  • Capacity to apply common sense in executing straightforward instructions.
  • Ability to manage standardized situations with minimal variables.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
  • Skill in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpreting graphs.
