Licensed Vocational Nurse, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to inmates in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients, in collaboration with the health care team.
- Provide technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the RN, CF.
- Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with physicians and other health care providers, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
