Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide therapy and educational services to adolescent patients in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field and experience in delivering mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver therapy and educational services to patients and their families
  • Monitor and manage patient behavior to maintain a therapeutic environment and patient safety
  • Complete case management tasks, including admission, discharge, and utilization review
  • Market the program and participate in treatment team meetings
  • Carry a supplemental caseload of individual psychotherapy patients
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in delivering mental health services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM ADVANCED) certification
  • Licensed Master of Social Work (MSW) or Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan
Working Conditions

The Behavioral Health Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, trauma, grief, and death. The ideal candidate will be able to move freely about the facility and perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
