Job Title: Substitute Preschool Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Substitute Preschool Teacher to support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms at Atlas Immersion Academy. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a fun and safe learning environment, instructing children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth, and establishing positive relationships with students and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct infant, toddler, or preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Continue the consistency of schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
  • Ability to easily build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to lift to 45 lbs
  • Fluency or Bilingual in French or Spanish or Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to reliably commute to all school locations
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry preferred
