Key Responsibilities:
A typical day may involve:
- Acting as a Senior Account Manager to identify clients and pursue new business prospects in BioServices (biorepository) and logistics.
- Managing client expectations by collaborating with colleagues from Client Services, Subject Matter Experts, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Members to foster integrated relationships.
- Tracking activities and reporting progress continuously using CRM systems. Evaluating performance against objectives with sales leadership and proposing alternative strategies when necessary.
- Overseeing the process of acquiring new business, which may include leading bid defense meetings, discussing quotes, and managing contracts. This role is accountable for achieving new business targets.
- Understanding the outsourcing strategies of assigned clients and developing short, medium, and long-term plans to maximize opportunities for providing clinical trial supply services. This includes prioritizing accounts, identifying decision-makers, and utilizing sales tools effectively.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets for designated accounts and/or territories.
- Adhering to company policies and relevant SOPs, and recommending improvements for policy and procedure efficiency where applicable.
- Participating in mandatory training and development sessions.
- Performing other sales-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BSc/BA or equivalent in business or scientific disciplines.
Experience Requirements:
- Significant prior experience in the life sciences sector; including pharmaceutical, biotech (cell and gene therapy), clinical supply chain, cold storage, or transportation.
- Experience in clinical project management and/or sales is a distinct advantage, preferably including clinical protocol development and/or CRO sales.
- Familiarity with clinical trials and/or supply chain management is preferred.
- Proven sales or account management experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong teamwork abilities, particularly in a matrix management structure. Capability to influence across functions and locations to achieve objectives.
- Proficient in software tools for internal and external communication, including the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to comprehend client needs and articulate suitable solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with analytical capabilities. Proficient in identifying and addressing issues.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines consistently.
- Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of working independently while knowing when to engage colleagues and management for support.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.
